Standard silica-based phases are stable within a pH range from 2-8. Columns with special modifications or endcapping can be operated in an enlarged pH range. Materials like Eurospher II C18 H and Eurospher II C18 P are suited for applications with higher pH values (pH 9).
Polymer columns, like KNAUER Eurokat, are extremely stable over the whole pH range.
