HR Officer Katharina Pohl and Managing Director Alexandra Knauer are delighted about the award.
There is reason to be happy at KNAUER, because the company is once again among the top 1% of employers in Germany. The award is the result of evaluations that were determined in an independent meta-study by the Düsseldorf "Institute of Research & Data Aggregation".
According to the publishers of the study, it is based on what is currently the most comprehensive employer assessment system in Germany, which has evaluated data from a total of over 100,000 companies. Criteria included previous and existing independent employer certifications, rankings and awards, employee satisfaction ratings, student surveys, and also activities in the areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR), diversity and family friendliness.
"The Leading Employer Award makes us proud because it shows that our activities and offers for employees and family as well as our commitment to sustainability are perceived positively," says Alexandra Knauer.
Employee satisfaction at KNAUER is also shown, for example, by the fact that the average length of service is 8.8 years and the employees enjoy taking advantage of the company's many benefits.
Among other things, KNAUER employees can take a vacation at low prices in a chic vacation apartment directly on the long beach of Ahlbeck on Usedom island, receive subsidies for a business bike, or take advantage of other incentives such as the extensive health program.
In 2019, KNAUER created a digital information platform for modern internal communication. The portal, called "KNAUERinsight", replaces an in-house magazine, which previously informed employees once a month by email. Whether training courses, dates for company celebrations, personnel news, job postings, sales figures, the introduction of new employees, or photos from events - on the internal website, an editorial team now publishes daily updated and colorful information that concerns or interests everyone.
This year, the latest employee offer is the BVG company ticket for public transport, partially financed by KNAUER. A 15 Euro subsidy per employee per month as well as a discount from the Berlin public transport company, employees can save up to 276 euros for travel costs annually.
The family business KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH has been developing measuring instruments for research and science for 57 years. The liquid chromatography systems (HPLC) can be used for example to analyze food or environmental samples for ingredients and impurities. Other applications include quality control of pharmaceuticals. Alexandra Knauer, who is the second generation to manage the company with 144 employees, attaches great importance to corporate responsibility, both towards the employees and towards the environment and society. The topic of "Corporate Social Responsibility" has therefore been practically lived out in her company for many years. More about KNAUER at www.knauer.net
The Institute of Research & Data Aggregation GmbH pursues the goal of better informing applicants and companies. Applicants receive a clear message of what a company stands for through the comprehensive sources and their diversity of aggregated data. Companies that create truly outstanding offers and conditions for employees are reflected accordingly by the award.
