When working with aqueous solutions at flow rates greater than 20 ml/min, the 50 ml ceramic pump head requires a backpressure of 80 bar. At lower backpressure, a decrease in flow rate may occur. To generate the required backpressure, a restriction capillary or backpressure regulator (A70088) can be used.
To improve the flow rate accuracy when using water, recalibration of the pump head can be performed by an authorized service technician. If you want to learn how to calibrate the pump head yourself, please contact KNAUER Academy for individual training (academy@knauer.net).
