Sample Injection
The injection valve consists of a valve drive and a 6 Port 2-Position valve with a special injection port. It is automatically recognized by the LH 8.1 what makes installation very easy.
The valve drive is especially made to add an injection valve to the LH 8.1 and enables automatic valve switching. Due to its rapid switching, the flow path is only interrupted for a very short time and pressure peaks are reduced to a minimum. Valves are identified via RFID technology, which guarantees an easy valve exchange. An additional feature is the easy monitoring of GLP data, which simplifies maintenance such as the exchange of a rotor seal.
Sample Storage and Cooling Option
The Robotic Cooler can store your samples at 4 - 40°C. You can insert up to 3 sample racks for 130 vials each, what means that up to 390 sample vials can be stored per Robotic Cooler.
Depending on the rail length a multitude of Robotic Coolers can be installed and used separately. Up to 4 Robotic Coolers on the longest rail what extends the sample capacity of one LH 8.1 device to up to 1560 x 1.5 ml vials or 24 well plates.
Unlike comparable, well-known devices on the market, the Robotic Cooler is completely software controlled. This enables high response speed and the ability to only open the drawers as long as the injection syringe needs for sample take-up. This feature protects all stored samples from temperature fluctuations.
Cost-effective sample storage
The manual tray holder can store up to 130 standard HPLC vials and is recommended whenever no sample cooling is needed. It can store two 60 vial sample racks or one 130 vial sample rack as well as two deep well or microtiter plates.
No Worries about Sample Carry Over
With the fast wash station, the injection syringe is cleaned on the in- and outside. It is always recommended, because it reduces sample carry over to a minimum and offers a very user-friendly handling.
Two different solvents can be installed that are freshly pumped into the wash station only when a cleaning step is executed via software. To speed up the washing steps, the syringe can be emptied without moving from the washing port to a separate waste port.
Cost-effective Alternatives to the Fast Wash Station
Manual wash stations are an alternative to the fast wash station when carry over is not the major concern. A manual wash station can be integrated in the manual tray holder with 5 x 10 ml vials or used as an additional module with 6 x 10 ml vials or 2 x 60 ml vials.
Sample Trays for any Needs
Different sample trays can be used either in the manual rack holder or in the Robotic Cooler. Depending on your needs, they are made for analytical standard 1.5 ml vials or well plates.
Syringes: The Place where Sample Take-up happens
KNAUER extensively tested different injection syringes and recommends only the ones giving outstanding results in injection precision and carry over. These syringes are directly implemented in the LH 8.1 software drivers and can be used like a plug and play item. Additionally, a series of further syringes can be fitted into the LH 8.1 tower.
