Why using pre-column tempering solutions?
A stable column temperature is crucial for reproducible separations and constant retention times. Beside the column tempering, pre-heating options are a powerful tool to minimize the difference between eluent and column temperature and thus avoid the formation of temperature profiles in the column.
KNAUER offers different types of eluent heaters according to your needs. Pre-column tempering can be further improved by using a pump head heating.
To ensure stable temperature over the whole column, KNAUER offers column thermostat and column heating sleeves.

AZURA® ELH 2.1L
The eluent heater monitors and controls the temperature of up to two eluents and supports up to two column heating sleeves simultaneously. It comes with two external temperature sensors for precise temperature monitoring at critical points of your flow scheme.
This device is fully compatible with other instruments in the AZURA series and is designed for convenient stackability, ensuring a compact and organized setup. It can be controlled using the intuitive PurityChrom 6 software or directly via the integrated 5.7" color TFT touchscreen.
SCPA Eluent and Column Heater
This eluent heater is suitable for operation in cleanrooms and can monitor and control the included eluent preheating module and the column heating sleeve with just one device. The integrated 5.7’’ color TFT touchscreen enables full control and an overview of the temperature settings and the actual temperature of the eluent and the column. Two included PT100 temperature sensors allow monitoring of the temperature at the column entrance and exit.
Pump head tempering
For applications in which an exact temperature is crucial for performance, tempering of the pump head is essential. KNAUER offesr solution to heat or cool the pump head by using a heating sleeve or a circulating water bath, respectively.
